What is the Alerts Totals page?
The Alert Totals page shows you the number of each alert that has been triggered, based on the date range that you have selected and any filters that you have applied. Alerts are pre-configured by ServiceTick, based on scores or keywords of your choosing.
How do you access the Alert Totals page?
The Alert Totals page can be accessed from anywhere in the console, by clicking or hovering on ‘Alerts’ in the side menu, and then choosing ‘Alert Totals’ in the sub-options.
Alert Totals explained:
The page is split into two tabs: Totals and Trends. These can be found at the top left of the page and switched between by clicking on them:
Totals
The Totals screen shows you a bar chart of overall alert volumes (based on your date range and filters), and also displays them in tabular form below the chart:
You can hover on a bar to see column counts:
And export the chart, export the table or print the page via the 'Actions' button at the top right of the page:
Trends
The Trends screen summarises the same alert data as seen in the Totals tab, but instead displays it in a trend chart, thus allowing you to see volumes over time as opposed to static counts:
Hovering on an x-axis interval will display alert counts for that moment in time:
If you would like to tailor the chart and only display data for specific alerts, this can be done via the chart Legend. Clicking on a value omits it from the chart, and clicking it again adds it back in:
You can change the time intervals that are used to draw the chart via the Days, Weeks and Months buttons found at the top right of the chart:
Clicking these buttons will redraw the chart with the newly selected time intervals:
If you would like to export the chart, export the data table or print the page, this can be done via the 'Actions' menu at the top right of the page:
