The following is a description of the options/settings available when editing questions. Note that some of these options are relevant to certain questions only.
Field | Description |
Question name | This allows you to enter & style the question text that your users see. Using the toolbar you can also make specific text bold or italic, you can create numbered list or bullet points and you can create links. |
Answer required | Ticking this box means that your users will have to answer this question before clicking next. Validation messages will show to the user if they do not answer this question. |
Visibility | You can add rules so that this question is only shown to users based on the scores given to preceding questions. Simply select "use question logic" and then select a trigger question & score. The question you are currently editing will then only show when the user enter the answer you have configured for the trigger question. |

Use range Descriptors | Range descriptors can help users locate the high and low ends of numeric scales. On mobile devices we will swap out your radio buttons for a more mobile-friendly 'slider', when you are using range descriptors. |
First option description | This text shows next to the first option in the survey. This is useful when explaining how the question works when the question has used a numerical scale for its options. We recommend that this is short and snappy e.g Very unlikely, Very dissatisfied, Strongly disagree. Note: this will only show if your options are numerical. |
Last option description | This text shows next to the last option in the survey. This is useful when explaining how the question works when the question has used a numerical scale for its options. We recommend that this is short and snappy e.g Very likely, Very satisfied, Strongly agree. Note: this will only show if your options are numerical. |
Only allow email address | Ticking this box means that your users will have to enter a valid email address for this question. A validation messages will show prompting the user to enter a valid email address if they do not do so. |
Max number of answers | This allows you to specify the maximum number of answers that your users can select for this question. |
Matrix > Options | Options display as columns in the matrix. Questions display as rows in the matrix (you will be able to add questions to a matrix once you have clicked saved). |
