What is Verbatim coding?
Verbatim coding allows you to apply categories to transcribed verbatim. These categories are then used the power the verbatim reports.
Categories and rules are set up separately. Please speak to your account manager for more information.
How to access the Verbatim coding
Click on the "Administration" link in the primary navigation and then click on "Verbatim coding" box. Note that this is only available to users with administration access.
Step 1 - Verbatim coding list
- Verbatim counts
This shows you the number of verbatim recorded over the period and the number of verbatim that are available for action (i.e. that have not been coded).
- Bulk mark as action select box
This allows you to marked multiple verbatims as actioned. Simply click the tick boxes in the verbatim list and then click go.
- Verbatim list
This table shows you all of the verbatim over the period. Rows in bold have not been coded/actioned.
- Action button
This allows you to mark the relevant verbatim as actioned (note that you you should click edit to add categories).
- Edit button
This allows you to add categories to the relevant verbatim. See step 2 below for more information.
Step 2 - Adding/editing categories
- Actioned indicator
This shows whether a verbatim has previously been actioned.
- Response details
This displays high level details about the associated response.
This shows the current transcribed verbatim.
- Play button
This plays the recorded audio of the transcribed verbatim
- Sentiment buttons
This allows you to mark the verbatim as either generally positive, negative or both (neutral).
- Verbatim categories
These tick boxes allow you to assign relevant categories to the verbatim.
- Audit log
This lists when the verbatim was previously coded and by whom.
- Save/cancel button
This allows you to save the settings. This information will then be reportable in the verbatim report.
Cancel returns you to the verbatim list without saving.
