What are filters?
They allow you to segment your data. Filters are defined when your surveys are initially created. You can also filter the data by individual surveys and date range.
How to access filters
The filters are available in every report in the reporting console. Click on the Filters button to open the filters interface.
Start typing here and the hierarchy, (see below), will be filtered to show only nodes that match your search.
For clients who have many (20,000+) nodes on one branch of the hierarchy, search results will instead show in a drop-down below the search box, for reasons of performance. Click on a result to add it to your selected filters list, (see below).
- Load saved views
If you have any saved views they will show here. Select a view to load it into your selected filters list, (see below), including any further options, (see below), associated with it. See ‘My Views’ for more information about views.
- Save selected filters as a view
If you have any filters in your selected filters list, (see below), you can use this button to quickly save them as a view, without being redirected to the My views page.
- Further options
Use these checkboxes to narrow your results to only contain those responses which have been alerted and/or completed.
This allows you to navigate and select the filters that you want to apply to the data in the current report. Click on a node in the hierarchy to add it to your selected filters list, (see below).
Clicking the triangle to the left of a node expands it to show its child nodes. Click again to hide.
- Close and Apply buttons
Click to apply your selected filters to your current report. The page will reload with the appropriate data. Close to dismiss the dialogue without making any changes.
- Selected filters list
Filters that you have selected appear in bold text with an ‘x’ to the left of them, while their parents appear in plain text, with a separating line below them. Click on the ‘x’ to remove filters from your selected filters list.
- Remove all filters
Click here to clear your selected filters and start afresh.
